Hope you're well and enjoying time with family during this time of the year.  There are a few things to update you on.

1. January 19th "Winter Welcome Back Rally"  --  This is a state tea party in Montgomery on the State House steps at 12:00 noon.  This rally will be focusing on helping a State Sovereignty Resolution pass.  The resolution is to be introduced the week prior to the rally, and hopefully our presence will help it move through the legislature.  Please be contacting your representatives now.  We will also be sending out names of key elected officials that need more pressure than others.  State Sovereignty Resolutions have been proposed in the past and have been stopped in committees.  We need your help.  If you want to ride a bus down, leaving from Athens or Florence with fellow patriots, you can contact Deborah King.  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  This option is approximately $25 per person.  The resolution has not been finalized yet, and there are a few different pieces of legislation that will be supported at this rally:

4. Please keep up the fight for freedom in our health care industry!  We are not seeing the Senate put up much of a fight, and it is unacceptable.  I know it is the holiday season right now, but please do not forget how important this issue is to our children and future generations.  You can find links to follow in order to contact key Senators on our website.

Republican Senators need a reminder.  We need to remind them we are against a federal takeover of the health care industry.  They need a reminder that America wants the senate health care legislation KILLED - not amended and not tolerated.

In response to the question "What is your strategy, to the extent you can share it?" Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ) said, "Actually, I think we can be fairly upfront about it.  Our strategy is not to delay and not take votes.  Our strategy is to have a lot of good amendments and highlight the problems in the bill.  It is not our strategy to somehow slow things down."  Read more here.

They need to hear from you.  You can contact the Republican Senators here, just click on the top right tab that says "Choose a Republican Senator."  Also, remember to keep contacting the list of Senators who voted to proceed with debating the bill on the floor. 

Also, don't forget about the January 19th Winter Welcome Back Rally in Montgomery!  This is a state-wide tea party focusing on state sovereignty.  The rally will start at noon and end at 1PM.  We will meet on the State House steps.  Tell your friends and spread the word using this flyer.
