There has been much going on lately, however, right now I want to draw attention to the "State Stimulus Plan".

I've been informed that it has been debated for two hours and that the Senate means to pick up discussion tomorrow, Thursday.  This is a terrible bill that adds 1 billion federal tax dollars (that we haven't received yet) to our state's budget.  It is irresponsible, and, just like the federal stimulus bill of 2009, it sends money to government projects.

Please contact your state legislators and Gov. Riley and ask them to vote against this bill!  The name is SB121.  Contact your legislators here.  Contact Gov. Riley here.  Please flood the phones.  Thank you!!

Quick Wonderful Updates:  The State Sovereignty Resolution passed the State House yesterday (it had already passed the Senate!)  And Scott Brown won the U.S. Senate seat in Massachusetts last night!  This is a great win.  Scott Brown has pledged to vote against Obamacare, thus ending the Democrat Party's super majority in the Senate!

Folks, it is no question that we have momentum.  Please bring that momentum to local Alabama politics.  Please find good candidates to support and start helping them NOW, by donating/volunteering/spreading the word, etc.  Also, don't forget that a Democrat has not stepped up to run for U.S. Congress in AL-District 5.  This race will most likely be won in the primary (which will be June 1.)  It's just the beginning of 2010, but we have a LOT of work to do!  Thank you for all you do!!  :)
