We've been putting the pressure on Washington D.C. for months in opposition to "health care reform" legislation that only gives the federal government more control over our health care system.

Today, we learned that it is likely that the new 2,000 pg health care bill (HR 3962) will be brought to a final vote NEXT WEEK.  You can read the bill here.It is not very different from HR 3200, in fact it is probably worse.

We will be planning an impromptu tea party next week, as the house draws closer to a vote.  The goal will be to implore the rest of our community to take action in contacting vulnerable politicians in D.C. and opposing this bill.  Stay tuned for updates, as we will be finalizing it on Monday.

It is very important to remember that even though the Democrats have the majority in Congress, we do have a fighting chance against this bill right now!  We need everyone to stay vigilant and stay active in this fight!  Democrats have been backing away from this bill, and Joe Lieberman has said flat out that he will not vote for a public option even with an "opt out."  And, you'd better believe the politicians are watching the NY-23 race, as well as the VA and NJ gubernatorial races, to see who wins on Nov. 3rd.
