There is a rally in Wisconsin today to support the proposals of Governor Walker. Most of us can't travel to Wisconsin for a protest but there are other ways to help. This website is a good place to start: http://istandwithwalker.com/
Governor Walker is attempting to bring some fiscal sanity to his state but the government employee unions are protesting against his policies. The unions want to keep their benifits and raise taxes to make up the shortfall. There has been one arrest of a protester who attempted to break into the assembly chamber. The most disturbing fact about these protests in Wisconsin and Ohio is the fact that they were instigated, at least in part, by the Obama campaign organization known as Organizing for America. Should a sitting president be helping to organize protests of individual state policies? This is something that hasn't been done since the Wilson administration used the American Protective League to intimidate his opponents.
