 Best event of the year! – We will have our second annual Tax Day Tea Party at 5:00 PM in the same location as last year on Clinton Ave just east of Memorial Pkwy.  Bring $1 for a bumper sticker and show your Tea Party spirit!

The Tax Day Tea Party will be held from 5:00PM to 7:00 PM on Clinton Ave. across from the Post Office,  just east of the 231/431 Memorial Parkway. Same place as last year.

 

Details: including some requests for help:
Music: Singing of the National Anthem and a few fun Tea Party songs by a trio called "Testament"
Emcee: Dale Jackson from WVNN 9.25 FM / 770 AM
Speakers: Gary Palmer from the Alabama Policy Institute, Dr. Fanning, and Vince Kreul with American Majority

10 ways to promote the Huntsville Tax Day Tea Party PDF Print E-mail

Our April 15th Tax Day Tea Party will be a celebration of the anniversary of our first official event. Those involved in the organizing last year know that the size of our gathering was a big surprise to all who were watching us. When we arrived to open the lot, the city had not even opened the gate for us. They never expected the hundreds who arrived and protested peacefully that chilly afternoon.

 

There are many Tea Party critics who think that we are burned out, that Tea Parties will soon disappear. We want to prove them wrong in a big way. Now you are thinking, “What can I do to help?” We are glad you asked. Here are some ideas on simple things you can do to promote the Tax Day Tea Party and the Huntsville Tea Party Movement in general. Call it our guerrilla marketing campaign.

 

  1. Email this url about the Tax Day Tea Party to all of your friends: http://huntsvilleteaparty.com/cms/index.php/tea-party-events/75-tax-day-protest-reminder
  2. Send a flier about the Tax Day Tea Party to your neighbors.
  3. Leave a Tax Day Tea Party flier on your coworkers' desks.
  4. Put Tax Day Tea Party flier on your company bulletin board.
  5. Using white shoe polish, write “Tax Day Tea Party April 15th” on the back glass of your car or truck. (Front glass not recommended.)
  6. Print up some cheap business cards with information about the Tax Day Tea Party and pass them out wherever you go.

Mark your calendar for May 15th and the Making of America - Constitution Seminar.  The seminar will be held from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THIS EVENT. 

Once again we are having an excellent instructor from the National Center for Constitutional Studies (NCCS) come and teach us about the principles of the consitution. The cost is $15 per person - a real bargain. The intended audience is 8th graders through adults. The location will be announced soon.

The deadline for payment is April 20th. Please make checks payable to "The Huntsville Tea Party Movement" and mail them to: 105 Pinckney Rd Harvest, AL 35749

We want to have a HUGE turnout for our April 15th Tax Day Protest. Tell all of your friends, email everyone you know, post it on Facebook, anything you can think of to help us get people out.

The event will be held on the anniversary of our first protest - April 15th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.   The event will be held in the parking lot on Clinton street across from the Post Office - just the same as last year. 

We have great speakers lined up. Mike Leahy, Dr. John Fanning, and Gary Palmer from the Alabama Policy Institute.  Please make every effort to be there.
