June 1st, Election Primaries Especially in certain hot races, the primary election will truly determine who wins this year. We are now down to 8 days left before the primary election. Go your candidate’s websites and donate! You can find links to their website here: http://www.madisoncountygop.org/candidates.shtml
After donating, don’t let this date slip your mind (June 1st)! Tell your conservative friends to put this date on their calendar. Better yet, be sure to take a conservative friend to the polls on June 1st for the primary election. We used to say “If you don’t vote don’t complain”. Now I would say that if we don’t vote for good conservatives we are in danger of losing our country and our way of life. Keep in mind that this is the day after Memorial Day - if you are going to be out of town be sure to get an absentee ballot. Thursday May 27th is the last day to apply for absentee ballots.
Given this year’s election climate, the conservative winners of the primary for each race will almost certainly win the general election. Usually, only about 20% of registered voters vote in a primary election, so each person that votes is actually representing about 5 people. This makes your vote in the primary extra valuable, so make it a priority to be there and bring a conservative friend!
I sure don’t see many cars with writing on the windows supporting your favorite candidate.
Get out of your comfort zone and do more. Tea Parties are all about people doing political things they have never done before. HOWEVER, I want to push you a little farther. I want you to go to Wal-Mart and buy some “Glass Chalk” (paint for your car windows). Then I want you to write a big message of “VOTE for …. June 1st” (fill in the … with the candidate of your choice). I want to see hundreds of vehicles proclaiming the best candidates. My truck and my wife’s mini-van have our “VOTE for” sign on it. Will you join me?
